"There is no one technique that is good for all situations". In Jing Shen Kuoshu training you are always working on adapting and responding to change. Every opponent is different in size, weight, athletic ability, age, speed, aggression and more. We integrate universal principles of motion, basics of human anatomy and various martial arts to give our students an understanding of "balance in motion". To develop these skills, students are creatively exposed to principles of body mechanics, in replacement of memorizing techniques and positions.
I have tested many kinds of instruction and found that this kind of training produces solid results much faster than traditional methods. It's the difference between standard martial artist who often can only REACT to a situation and a JSK practitioner who learns to RESPOND to a situation.

Each class is one houe long. We start with a 1/2hr circuit that teaches footwork, conditions the members for common street attacks and reinforce the techniques to be taught in class that day. We then work for the next hour on Flow Training in which you are constantly in motion with your training partners. In flow training, your learn principles of motion instead of memorizing techniques. By doing so, you train for random, imperfect and unorthodox types of attacks. The type of attacks that happen in the real world.
